About RTI

The Right to Information (RTI) Act, 2005 empowers citizens to request information from public authorities, thereby promoting transparency and accountability in the functioning of educational institutions. Under this Act, colleges recognized by the government or affiliated to state universities are mandated to provide institutional information to applicants proactively.

Nandini Nagar Vidhi Mahavidyalaya adheres strictly to UGC directives and state university guidelines, maintaining an active RTI cell that addresses applications in a timely, professional manner.

How to File an RTI

Written Application

Citizens can draft an RTI request in written format in either English or Hindi, stating the specific information required from the college clearly.

Application Fee

Applications must be submitted along with a fee of ₹10, payable via Cash, Indian Postal Order (IPO), or Demand Draft in favor of the college. BPL cardholders are exempt from paying fees upon showing valid BPL proof.

Timeline

As per the Act, response/information will be provided to the applicant within 30 days of receiving the application request. In cases concerning life or liberty, responses are expedited within 48 hours.
